Please join us for the Chopper Class/ Manufacturing tech lab open house. Take a look at the facilities, meet some of the kids, and get a first hand feel for how we do what we do. Legend Donnie Smith with be making an appearance as well as Matt and Carl Olsen of Carl’s Cycle Supply on some vintage motorcycles. The AMCA Viking Chapter will also have multiple vintage bikes on display. Don’t miss it and remember the fundraiser run the next Day to Yuba wisconsin for “The Knuckle Shuffle” bike run Saturday and tour of the S&S plant sunday. DONNIE SMITH BIKE SHOW 2011 A SUCCESS!

The Kennedy High school Chopper Class once again had a great showing at the Excel energy Center in St Paul and brought home 5 awards at the show! We received an special recognition award for being the first to start the chopper class back in 2003 and all the kids were brought on stage in front of the crowd to be honored. The bikes we entered in the show also all placed. We won 1st and 2nd place in the antique knucklehead class. And took 2nd places with the newly finished SPS bike, and last years Sugar Bear springer build.

Chopper Class 2011 Open House, First Annual Knuckle Shuffle

The Kennedy Chopper Class will be holding an open house on June 3, 2011. The purpose of the open house is to show off the projects the students are working on, as well as the projects they have finished. You will also be able to look around the shop and talk to the students that are working on the choppers this year. More details about the open house will be provided as they become available.

In addition to the open house, there will also be a benefit ride for the Kennedy Chopper Class, known as the The Knuckle Shuffle, taking place from June 3 to June 5. The ride will begin from The Ole Piper Inn, located in Lakeville, MN; and from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Both routes will converge in Yuba, Wisconsin for a party, bands, burnouts, and fun. 2010 Kennedy Chopper Class Open House is Over

The 2010 Kennedy Chopper Class Open House is over, but it was a pretty good time for all of those who came. Below are some pictures that I took while I was there, it was tough to get too many good ones while staying out of everyones’ way! Over the next week or so I’ll be collecting as many pieces of information as I can from the Open House for anyone who missed it. Kennedy Chopper Class Open House – Friday May 15th

The Kennedy Chopper Class will be holding an open house in their machine shop at Kennedy High School from 3-6pm this Friday (May 15, 2010).

At the open house you’ll be able to see several of the bikes that have been completed by the students, as well as the bikes that are currently in the works. You’ll also have the opportunity to walk around the machine shop to see what else the students are working on. The teacher, Kevin Baas, along with some of the current students, will be there to answer questions as well. In addition to the bikes made by the Kennedy Chopper Class, other bike enthusiast will be there with their rides as well, ensuring there will be plenty of bikes to look at and people to talk to.

The open house will take place inside of the machine shop at Kennedy High School, which is located around the back of the school. Please refer to the map below for help finding the entrance to the machine shop.
